10 COMMANDMENTS HIKE Friday, November 28, 9 am – 2 pm
The purpose of the Ten Commandments Hike to provide an opportunity for young Scouts to live their faith, while learning how the Ten Commandments play an important part in the lives of others, living their faiths. The event rotates to different parts of the community each year, on the Friday following Thanksgiving. This year, Scouts and their families will be visiting ten houses of worship in Lansing, NY. At each stop, you’ll learn about the worship space and hear an explanation of one of the Ten Commandments. This cross-cultural event will help Scouts gain greater understanding of religious and greater acceptance of others’ religious beliefs.
