TvO’s Board is comprised of the Executive Committee (co-presidents, co-vice presidents, treasurer, scribe, past president), and the liaisons from the Committees of the Congregation (Finance, Building & Grounds, Communications, Welcoming, and Jewish Education), and our Mission-Focused Committees (Spirit, Community, Justice).
Board members are responsible for setting policy and long-range planning for the synagogue and overseeing its health and welfare. They also oversee activities and property of the congregation.
We welcome people who are interested in sharing and developing their commitment, skills and experience. If you would like to a more active role in synagogue leadership, please contact the Presidents.

Eric joined TvO in 2022. Before that time, he was immersed in Jewish texts, especially the Rambam’s Guide of the Perplexed, the Alter Rebbe’s Tanya, and Rebbe Nachman’s Likutey Moharan. He joined the TvO board two years ago, first as an at large member, and then as Co-Vice President. He is keen on co-creating Jewish spaces with the TvO community that craft solutions for post-modern religious and spiritual dilemmas. He has deep Neo-Hasidic roots and when not in shul (synagogue) can be found in the woods and fields doing hitbodedut – a Bratslav Hasidic practice of talking to the Divine in nature.
Judy Saul has been part of the congregation since the early years. She grew up on Long Island, where her parents were involved in a young reform congregation that first met in a local church and then built its own synagogue. So perhaps her involvement was predestined! Judy has served on many committees and been involved in the planning and fundraising for our building. She was co-president with her partner Regi Teasley in 2004-2006, when TvO moved into our home on Triphammer Road. More recently she served on the Bereavement Support Committee and chaired the Rabbi Search Committee that met from 1999 to 2001. Judy spent most of her career in the field of mediation and dialogue facilitation and is an avid birdwatcher.
For more information on the focus of each committee and how to get involved, please see the COMMUNITY section of this website.
