Interfaith Youth Program: Stuffy Wellness Center at FCC

When

March 9, 2025
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The Education & Youth Directors of several of the churches and synagogues in Ithaca invite all youth (ages 5- 18, caregivers, and any others who are interested) to help at the STUFFY WELLNESS CENTER, at the First Congregational Church of Ithaca, Fellowship Hall, 309 Highland Road. Refurbish plush stuffed animals for loving care with others.

The Stuffy Wellness Center Project is a service project focused on keeping plush toys out of the waste stream and providing love and comfort to all. We accept all plush toys (no matter their condition), provide “spa treatments” (AKA thorough cleanings) and repairs. Plush toys that need extreme repair become “organ donors” or are reimagined. Wanna help prep some of our current donations for the next adoption event? Or help reimagine how these plush toys can be used?

What to bring: sewing supplies (scissors, thread, needles, etc), plush to donate, creative thinking, a snack to share!

And even if you can’t attend this event, TVO students are invited to collect previously loved Plush Toys (bring them to JLE on March 2 or March 9), and they will be brought to FCC.
