Led by Dalya Tamir

T’shuva is the act of return. During this time of year we are called to return to parts of ourselves that reflect the sacred within us. We are called back to ourselves in many ways and for many reasons, one of them is the longing to feel at home within ourselves. In this participatory workshop, as part of our practice of selichot we are invited to explore ways in which we have abandoned ourselves by judging ourselves harshly, by holding ourselves back with self doubt, by overextending ourselves, and other ways that are true for each of us.

Together we will form a kavanah to no longer abandon ourselves in those ways. Instead, through the practices of mindfulness, self-compassion, and lovingkindness, we will begin the journey back to our wise and compassionate self, the part of ourselves that remembers our innate goodness.

This program will include presentation and discussions, short meditation periods, sharing in small groups, and some movement. We ask that the content shared by the participants will be kept confidential.
