A note from Michael and Noa:
We are having a blast preparing for our Community Passover Seder and we hope you can join us! We will be using our beloved TvO Haggadah along with some supplemental readings, and doing a creative, participatory telling of the Passover story together.
KOL DICHFIN YEITEI V’YEICHOL ALL WHO ARE HUNGRY, LET THEM COME AND EAT
This Passover we hold in our hearts all those bearing the human cost of war, hunger, and oppression in Israel, Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Iran, Sudan, Cuba, and here at home, where so many neighbors suffer from poverty and inequality. Our tradition calls us to support those in need even in the darkest moments.
SUPPORT COMMUNITIES IN NEED: There are many possibilities to support. Here are a few. If you have others, let us know.
Right here in Ithaca: No Más Lágrimas / No More Tears: free food, warm meals, and dignity to hundreds of Tompkins County families every Thursday. Donate
OAR (Opportunities, Alternatives, and Resources) supporting those incarcerated and formerly incarcerated in our community. Donate
In Gaza: Please donate to the Passover 5786 Tzedakah Campaign organized by the Gaza Soup Kitchen, our partner through Jews for Food Aid for Gaza
URGE REP. JOSH RILEY TO SUPPORT H.R. 2411: the UNRWA Funding Emergency Restoration Act, a key step to restoring humanitarian aid to Gaza. Learn More If you are interested get in touch
