Creative Arts Shabbat

When

June 6, 2026
10:00 am - 12:00 pm

We’d love for you to join us for our final Creative Arts and Spirit Shabbat of the summer! It’s been so meaningful to explore Shabbat and the weekly Torah portions through different creative modalities and with such wonderful community leaders.

In this session, Rachel Fidler (she/they) and Michael Margolin (he/him) will guide us in collaging as a way to make meaning of Parsha B’haalotcha, a portion full of questions about leadership, doubt, and the courage it takes to keep moving forward. Together we’ll explore what it means to find our guides as we navigate the waters of life: how we summon the courage to walk our own paths, speak our truths, and meet the challenging moments that arise along the way. We’ll create, we’ll talk, and we’ll reflect on what it means to come together and make something new.

We will provide all materials for collaging (though you’re welcome to bring your own!), a canvas, and everything you need to compile it. If you’d like to look at the Torah portion ahead of time, you can find it here: https://tinyurl.com/CASSJune6.

No prior collaging experience is needed, and no materials are required. Reviewing the Torah portion in advance is also entirely optional.

We look forward to being in community with you and closing out our Creative Arts Shabbat season together!

If you’re able, feel free to bring collaging materials to share: magazines, newspapers, printed photos or artwork are all welcome!
