We will come together for the sweet blessing of welcoming Shabbat with song, reflection on the week, prayer, and conversation. This week’s Torah portion is packed with some of the most iconic moments (Jacob wrestles with an angle, gets a new name, and reconciles with Esau) and some incredible relevant issues in our contemporary world (sexual assault, maternal mortality). Since Lauren is still wrestling with the angels in her mind that are competing for their favorite part of the parsha to be the focus this Shabbat, you may have to join us at the service to find out which one prevails (and whether anyone gets a new name out of it…).
