Nature & Reflection for Elul

Join us for a special outdoor Creative Arts Shabbat as we welcome the month of Elul, the season of turning, reflection, and preparing our hearts for the Days of Awe.
We’ll gather together, then split into two experiences: families with younger children will join Jennie Lavine for songs, prayers, and gathering nature objects along the way. Those ages 10 and up will join Rabbi-in-Training Michael Margolin for a nature-based Elul reflection: sitting quietly outdoors, journaling, and small group conversation to help us lean into this season of turning.
We’ll then come back together as one community to create nature art from what we’ve gathered and have some food. Please bring snacks and foods you would like to eat and some to share if you can. You might also bring blankets or outdoor chairs to sit on and any cutlery, plates, and cups you will need.
